The BRM Backreflection Meter is an instrument developed with extremely stable optical components, designed for the precise measurement of back reflection, insertion loss, and optical power. The BRM-100 offers 1, 4, 12, 16, 24, 32, 48, or 72 output channels, making it a practical choice for both single-fiber and multi-fiber testing.
The BRM is equipped with up to four built-in light sources, with wavelengths of 450, 650, 780, 850, 1060, 1300, 1310, 1490, 1550, 1625, or 1650 nm respectively. Customized configurations are available upon request. The BRM boasts the best backreflection accuracy (±0.4 dB) among products of its kind, with a measurement sensitivity of -85 dB.
For multi-channel fiber optic connectors (such as MPO or duplex LC), select the integrating sphere detector option. You can use the BRM in conjunction with our free GMS software to perform automated testing.
The multimode BRM has undergone internal calibration and complies with the IEC 61280-4-1 EF standard.
